Mise-en-scène, the film club of the English department, invites you all to a screening of The Cakemaker by Ophi Raul Graizer, the Israeli auteur, on 28 February 2019 at 9.30 am in the AV room.

The inauguration of the English association by Dr. S. Nagesh, St. Joseph's College, Devagiri, who delivered a lecture on “Literature in the Post-human, Post-truth Era” on 13 February, 2019. 

Con-Texts, the annual national seminar organised by the PG students of the department, is scheduled for 1 March 2019. The topic is "Revisiting the Classics", and the deadline for abstracts is 31 Jan. More details at CFP: Revisiting the Classics. 

  Dr. Shanthi Vijayan, Assistant Professor at the department, defended her PhD thesis titled Towards a New Paradigm of Renaissance: A Study of the Select Works of Arundhati Roy and Sarah Joseph on 14 January 2019 at the University of Calicut.
