Since 2019, the department of English, Providence Women’s College, has been recognised as an approved research centre affiliated to the University of Calicut. The centre conducts regular Research Forums, in which experts in various inter-related academic fields and disciplines deliver talks, followed by work-in-progress presentations by the research scholars of the department.
